Handicratft Club & Outings
45 children from the villages Tongkeina and Bahowo receive financial help to go to school. help comes from guests of Thalassa Dive Center, friends and family. We try to keep them involved by organizing handicraft clubs, sport events and outings. As you can see; they are a nice bunch.
The end of December 2006 we took the children of the project for a trip to Manado by one of Dive Center Thalassa’s boats. Although some of them found it rather scary, they had a lot of fun as well. Arriving in the city they could peddle around in a water cycle for a while. Afterwards they had a drink and a snack and headed home. Most of them joined the trip with 2 exceptions; 1 child was sick and 1 had to help his father on a construction project in Manado
