The 11th-grade students of SMK Krisolton have begun their Open Water Course training as part of a school program supported by Thalassa. Guided by Simone, a PADI Course Director from Thalassa Dive Resort Manado, and assisted by Fendy as the instructor’s assistant.
The students are learning both the theory and practice of diving, including the use of diving equipment and underwater safety. The training includes pool sessions as well as real dives in open water, where they practice buoyancy control, emergency procedures, and observing marine conditions.
This course not only provides them with a professional diving certification but also helps develop responsibility, teamwork, and confidence—essential skills for a future career in the tourism industry.
