For the 16th time, our school, together with Thalassa Dive and Wellbeing Resort Manado, successfully organized the Bunaken Snorkel Swim. Through this event, participants challenged themselves to swim using snorkeling gear from Rap-Rap Beach in Tongkaina Village to Bunaken Island.

This year’s event was especially meaningful because it was not only a sporting challenge but also a fundraising initiative in support of NTTI (No Trash Triangle Initiative), an organization dedicated to environmental conservation, particularly in tackling the problem of plastic pollution in our oceans.
A total of 40 participants took part in the event. Of these, 39 successfully reached Bunaken Jetty, while one participant was unable to complete the swim. The participants included 35 students from Solagratia Vocational High School and 4 adult participants.

On Wednesday, July 8, 2026, the student participants of the Bunaken Snorkel Swim, together with Simone C. Gerritsen, PADI Course Director at Thalassa Dive and Wellbeing Resort, officially presented the funds raised to NTTI (No Trash Triangle Initiative). A total of €1,105 was donated through this fundraising effort.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated and contributed to this fundraising initiative. Every donation means a great deal to us and helps support the ongoing efforts to protect our oceans and preserve the marine environment.
Together, we can make a real difference.
