With great enthusiasm and a little nervousness, the children performed for the first time in the Masamper competition organized by the Regional Government of North Sulawesi Province, in celebration of National Education Day.
Masamper is a traditional group singing art form from the island regions of North Sulawesi, featuring call-and-response verses and vocal harmony. Although they only practiced for about a week, the children still performed confidently and gave their best on stage.
For them, this is not just about winning, but about learning to be brave in performing, working together, and helping preserve a proud local culture.
