Entire families lost EVERYTHING they had!
On April 7th, 2024: the rainy season came to a violent end. The area of Bitung but especially Lembeh endured a tropical rainstorm that caused flooding and landslides. The rushing water destroyed villages, infrastructure, and displaced hundreds of people.
We found out that no less than 45 families across the 3 villages lost literally everything, their homes and all their possessions.
On April 21, we has visited every place affected by flash floods and landslides to provide additional aid donations, including: 25 sacks of 10kg rice, 320 melamine plates, 149 glasses, 20 dozens of spoons, 33 rice spoons, 45 pans, and 45 pots.
On behalf of all the residents who have received assistance from Baturiri Village, Pintu Kota Besar Village, Pintu Kota Kecil Village, Mawali Village, and Batu Lubang Village.
